Sapporo St. Michael's International Young Men's House

What is St. Michael's International Young Men's House?

1. Japanese and foreign students accomodate together and share time
This hall has 10 rooms, 5 for Japanese and other 5 for foreign students, yet this rule is not strict. On the first floor, a living room, dining room, two shower rooms, and two rest rooms are shared. On the second floor, you can have your own average-furnished room. No set time for breakfast and dinner, but we usually have meals together and enjoy talking. It is a great opportunity to exchange our culture and improve your language!

2. Run by Sapporo St. Michael's Church
This hall was built financially supported by Sapporo St. Michael's Church, a branch of Nippon Seikokai (Anglican Church of Japan) in the spring of 1990, to provide social services to the community. All christian students are welcome, and anyone who wants to share our spirit is welcome, no matter what is your religion.

3. Reasonable room and board fee
You pay just 45,000yen a month in Summer(Apr-Sep) and 47,000yen a month in Winter (Oct-Mar), and breakfast and dinner are provided every day but Sunday. Electricity, gas, water charges are included in the boad fee.
For self-supported foreign students without financial aids from your own nations, room plus board fee will be reduced to 40,000yen a month, if you promise to study hard!!! Each private room on the second floor is furnished with a desk, chair, clothing cabinet, bed with linen, and bookshelf. On the first floor, a washing machine, telephone, fax machine, satellite TV, oil heater are equipped.

4. Good location
The nearest station is N18 station of Nanboku subway line, 10 mins walk from our hall. Sapporo station is 20-25 mins walk, and Hokkaido University (N18 entrance) is 20 mins walk from our hall. Some of our students enjoy walking to school in lovely days to maintain their health.
